Celebrating the “U.S. – India 2017 Travel and Tourism Partnership Year”

Thursday, March 29, 2017 at 1800,  J.W. Marriott Hotel,  Pune

To promote tourism to the U.S. and celebrate the “U.S.-India 2017 Travel and Tourism Partnership Year,” the U.S. Consulate General in Mumbai, in association with BrandUSA, the VisitUSA Committee (VUSACOM) and the Travel Agents Association of India (TAAI), invite you to an event at the J.W. Marriott Hotel in Pune. The event begins at 1800 with presentations followed by a cocktail hour.

The United States and India have seen significant growth in two-way travel and this year we are officially recognizing the potential for further growth of commercial and personal ties.  Non-immigrant visa applications to the U.S. continue to increase every year, from 860,000 in 2013 to more than 1,100,000 in 2015.  In the 2015-2016 academic year, more than 160,000 Indian students came to the U.S. to study.  Nearly 1 million Indian tourists visited the United States in 2015 and spent over $9 billion.

U.S. Consulate General Mumbai representatives will be at the event to answer any questions you might have about traveling to the U.S. and the “U.S.-India 2017 Travel and Tourism Partnership Year.”

We look forward to your participation to this event.
